Publication Products

Geoscience BC is a non-government organization formed in the spring of 2005 and funded by a $25 million start-up grant from the B.C. Provincial Government. The funds are being used to support the collection of new geoscience data in collaboration and partnership with industry, post-secondary institutions and government. Geoscience products being delivered include geological mapping, geophysical surveys, geochemical surveys, and remote sensing data. In addition Geoscience BC supports the development of new geoscience techniques and methods that can be used to improve exploration success in B.C. and maintain British Columbia as a premier destination for exploration and mining companies.

QUEST-West Gravity Map	QUEST-West Project: Time-domain electromagnetic and magnetic data, collected last fall by Aeroquest Ltd., over 12,500 line-km in an area from Vanderhoof to Terrace at 4 km line spacing. An additional 679 line-km of infill data (200 m line spacing) was collected over six known deposits, including Bell, Endako, Equity, Granisle, Huckleberry and Morrison. 	QUEST Project: Geophysics VTEM (Versatile Time-Domain Electromagnetic) data was collected in the fall of 2007 by Geotech Ltd. with TRK Helicopters, along with maps and contractor's report.
