Subject: Executive Lead, Titles Division
As of April 20, 2009, I have assumed the role of Executive Lead and Chief Gold Commissioner, Titles Division. The mandate of the Division is to issue and manage tenure for minerals, oil and gas and geothermal resources in British Columbia.
For the past 25 years I have held a variety of positions in different areas and ministries including Economic Development, Aboriginal Relations, Community Services, Post-Secondary Education, Training and Technology, Tourism and Small Business, Labour and Health. Throughout my Public Service career, I have led a number of corporate initiatives involving extensive collaboration across all levels of government and with a range of partners.
Prior to joining the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources, my most recent position was as Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Small Business, Technology and Economic Development. In this role, I was responsible for key corporate functions as well as a number of important portfolios including International Marketing (implementing British Columbia's international brand - Canada's Pacific Gateway), First Nations economic development, leading a group of business champions to advance Vancouver as a leading financial services centre, Employee Engagement, ADMs Innovation Team, performance measurement, business planning and climate action/Green Team.
I look forward to working with industry, First Nations, communities and other stakeholders as we continue to issue and manage subsurface resources in British Columbia.
