SUBJECT: DIRECTOR, OIL AND GAS TITLES BRANCH

Please be advised that Laurel Nash has accepted a temporary assignment as Director, Oil and Gas Titles Branch. Laurel has been with the Ministry of Energy Mines and Petroleum Resources since 2000 and was previously the Executive Director of the Aboriginal Relations Branch. Laurel has extensive experience with oil and gas related matters, including many years working with First Nations and industry in Northeast British Columbia.

The Oil and Gas Titles Branch administers Crown-owned subsurface rights, including oil and gas, underground gas storage and geothermal. In addition to the responsibilities associated with the branch and the accompanying legislation, Laurel will lead the implementation of the BC Energy Plan by the Oil and Gas Titles Branch.
