TITLES DIVISION
SUBJECT: Petroleum Titles Online
Petroleum Titles Online (PTO) is a new internet-based mapping service recently implemented by the Titles Division. There are three services that can be accessed to obtain information or interact with the Titles Division.
- Petroleum Titles Online Viewer allows interested parties to view maps of petroleum and natural gas tenures in conjunction with other related base-mapping data and obtain reports of specific tenure information. The site can be accessed at: http://www.ptonline.gov.bc.ca

- Petroleum and Natural Gas Sales Notice and Results Reports now include a map link attached to each parcel of oil and gas rights referenced in the report. Activating the link displays a map of the parcel through the Petroleum Titles Online Viewer. The map can be manipulated to display a range of related information, including surface lots. - Sales Parcel Posting Requests site is an internet map selection tool that enables interested parties to select parcels of Crown petroleum and natural gas rights on an interactive map for inclusion in one of the Titles Division's monthly dispositions of petroleum and natural gas rights. The site can be accessed at: http://www.ptonline.gov.bc.ca.

The Sales Parcel Posting service will be available for the May 25, 2005 disposition which closes on
February 15, 2005. Use of the site is not mandatory and posting requests may continue to be submitted by fax to the Titles Division attention of Mr. Chris Blaney at: 250-952-0331.
To access the posting service, users must first obtain a unique identification code, through the Province's BCeid program. This will insure that any information submitted is secure and remains confidential.
