Subject: Muskwa West (South), Halfway-Graham Pre-Tenure Plans
Pre-Tenure Plans for the southerly portion of the Muskwa West (map) and the Halfway-Graham (map) areas, (maps are also available at the following internet site: http://srmwww.gov.bc.ca/rmd/ecdev/mog/ptp/muskwa-ketchika/PTPConsultationDraft.htm,) have recently been approved by the Minister of Sustainable Resource Management. These Pre-Tenure Plans are within the Muskwa-Kechika Management Area (M-KMA), an area designated under the Muskwa-Kechika Management Area Act. The legislation requires that a pre-tenure plan be completed before the Ministry of Energy and Mines can offer oil and gas rights for competition within the M-KMA.
The Ministry of Energy and Mines is now accepting posting requests within the Muskwa West (south) and Halfway-Graham (north) Pre-Tenure Plan areas for any of its regularly scheduled dispositions of oil and gas rights. Posting requests for the southerly portion of the Halfway-Graham plan will be accepted for regularly scheduled sales commencing with the January 14, 2004 sale, which closes for postings on October 07, 2003.
