The permit is situated between 123’-15! to 123O-30’ West Longitude and 51°-50’ to 51°-55’ North Latitude. It is easily accessible by a good graveled road from Williams Lake to the Hanceville Ranch on the Chilcotin River some 58 miles away. A secondary road crosses the Chilcotin River by a steel bridge 4 miles south of Hanceville. It then veers westward through the Chilko ranch to the Indian Village on Indian Reserve No. 1, a distance of about 4 miles. A trail runs in a southwesterly direction from the Indian Village into the permit some 5 miles away, crosses its eastern boundary about mid-way, traverses the SE corner and leaves the permit half way along the southern boundary on its way to Taseko Lake.
