by V. Zay Smith Associates
August 1959
The Kazko River project area comprises about 2540 square miles embracing the Honolulu Oil Corporation acreage block in Central British Columbia. The block is made up of Petroleum and Natural Gas Permit numbers 1117 through 1130 inclusive, and total approximately 1,000,000 acres. The area was evaluated by detailed photogeology. Base maps and controlled air photo-mosaics were constructed by means of a slotted-template lay down and cover the entire project and surrounding terrain at a scale of 1 inch to 1 mile. Geographic control for the base maps and air photo-mosaics was provided by maps acquired from the Government of British Columbia and the Department of Mines & Technical Surveys, Ottawa.
