The Chezacut area gravity survey was one of several conducted between 1979 and 1981 in conjunction with Canadian Hunter’s oil and gas exploration program in the Nechako basin region. The Chezacut survey was conducted July 18 to October 21, 1981, and totaled 450 line kilometres along ten lines. The survey covers a large area north of Highway 20 (the Bella Coola Highway) and south of Highway 16 (the Yellowhead), about 75 kilometres west of Highway 97 between Williams Lake and Quesnel.
