In February 1970, CDP (Computer Data Processors Ltd.) were awarded the contract for the processing and the interpretation of the Murphy Oil aeromagnetic data over parts of the Quesnel Basin, British Columbia.
The area, as outlined in the Geo-X Surveys report, consists of Oil and Natural Gas Permits 2079 - 2083 for a total of approximately 600,000 acres covered by 1,500 line miles. The average flight elevation was kept to 5,500 feet a.s.1. for a ground clearance of about 1,000 feet.
