The Petroleum and Natural Gas Act, the Drilling and Production Regulation Act, and the Petroleum and Natural Gas General Regulation outline the requirements for companies to submit cores and drill cuttings from any well drilled within the province.
The following regulation references show how the activities at the Ministry facility in Charlie Lake, B.C. are part of the provincial regulatory management of the oil and gas industry. The collection, submission and viewing of core and drill cuttings, as well as the fee schedules, are controlled by the following written regulations:
