B.C. Oil and Gas Websites

Detailed information about oil and gas in British Columbia is available via the following websites.

Oil and Gas Division

The Oil and Gas Division is leading the way towards stimulating investment in the province's traditional oil and gas resources as well as in new, untapped areas of potential like coalbed gas and shale gas.

 

The Oil and Gas Division area of the MEMPR website provides an overview of oil and gas in BC; oil and gas production/distribution statistics; data about resource potential; and information on the ministry's oil and gas initiatives and policies.

 

Titles and Offshore Division

The Titles and Offshore Division manages mineral titles, oil and gas titles and offshore exploration and provides information regarding:

The Oil and Gas Commission

The Oil and Gas Commission regulates the crude oil, natural gas and pipeline activities in the province of British Columbia. As an efficient, single-window agency, the commission is helping the oil and gas industry grow and prosper by streamlining the applications and approval processes while maintaining provincial environmental standards. This site includes information on BC oil and gas industry activities and regulations.
