2009 Mining and Sustainability Award
B.C. is one of the world’s most important mining regions. Mining makes significant contributions to our province's economy, and the B.C. mining community is leading the way in protecting the environment and developing our natural resources in a sustainable manner.
The annual Mining and Sustainability Award is an opportunity to publicly recognize the diverse companies, communities, First Nations, non-governmental organizations, government agencies and individuals committed to advancing and promoting sustainable development in the B.C. mining sector.
This award is a joint initiative of the Mining Association of British Columbia (MABC) and the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources.
