Tailings and Mine Waste Conference: October 25-28, 2015

 

 

Tailings and Mine Waste 2015 follows in the tradition of the conference series that has been held annually since 2008. The conference provides a forum for members of the mining community, engineers and scientists serving the mining industry, regulatory groups and other interest groups concerned with geotechnical, environmental and regulatory issues related to tailings and mine waste management.

British Columbia’s mineral exploration and mining industry is an integral part of the provincial economy. Competitive taxes, an ample supply of low-cost power and government's commitment to the industry make this province an ideal place to invest.

 

Tailings and Mine Waste 2015 follows in the tradition of the conference series that has been held annually since 2008. The primary purpose of the conference is to provide a forum and meeting place for members of the mining community, engineers and scientists serving the mining industry, regulatory groups and other interest groups concerned with geotechnical, environmental and regulatory issues related to tailings and mine waste management.

 

The Mines and Mineral Resources Division of the Ministry of Energy and Mines manages British Columbia's substantial mineral resources. The Division implements policies and programs that encourage the responsible development of these resources and ensures that all mining activities respect the safety of workers, the public and the environment.
