Area of Expertise:

To stimulate and promote mineral exploration and development in the Province.  Annual review of exploration in the Province.  To provide leadership in facilitating meetings and discussions between industry, government and academia.  

 

 

Current Focus:  

  • Rock specimen and photograph collections of selected projects/regions in British Columbia.
  • Annual Exploration in British Columbia Review.
  • Talks/presentations promoting exploration/development opportunities in British Columbia.
     

Past Projects:

  • To attract new mineral investment in Saskatchewan from Asian and European markets.
  • Developed a package of incentives to promote exploration and development of Saskatchewan's mineral resources.
  • Co-chairing a team that developed the Reclaimed Industrial Sites Act and the Institutional Control Management Framework for the long term care and maintenance of former mine sites, the first of its kind in the world.

 

Associated Experience:

 

Worked as Director of Mineral Policy with the Government of Saskatchewan, University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany and University of Saskatchewan.
