Mineral deposits, metallogeny, mineral assessments and volcanology. General knowledge of geology of BC with emphasis on northwest region of province. Completed M.Sc. thesis on Nicola Group volcanics.

 

Area of Expertise:

 

More than 20 years experience with mineral deposit studies, regional geoscience surveys and private sector mineral exploration.  Active with professional and volunteer associations.

Current Focus:

  • Leading BC Geological Survey
  • Working as part of Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources executive
  • Promoting investment in mineral exploration in the province to sustain the mining sector
  • Co-operating with other government agencies on geoscience issues and the National Geological Surveys Committee
  • Providing input on geoscience data and interpretation needed for land use planning
  • Liaising with companies, prospectors, industry associations, provincial territorial and national surveys, universities and other clients
  • Coordinating the mineral deposit profiles project
