Geoscience Map 2009-1 is a digital, one-sheet map of the geology of British Columbia. It is a summary of Geoscience Map 2005-3 at 1:1 500 000 or 1:2 000 000 scale, with simplified units and legend. It can be used as a digital product and printed as a cartographically correct rendition of the geology of British Columbia. This version of the BCGeologyMap is the one best suited for printing as a single sheet.

The BCGeologyMap is compiled from geological maps by the British Columbia Geological Survey, Geological Survey of Canada, and university and industry geologists.  The original compilation offers seamless coverage at 1:250 000 scale.  It is viewable on MapPlace and MapPlace 2 and freely downloadable as GeoFiles 2005-1 to 10 or as Geoscience Map 2005-3.
