The current Bulletin series was started in 1940 and comprises the premier geological publications of the BC Geological Survey.  From 1896 to 1939 Bulletins were issued as an annual series, but starting in 1940 Bulletins have been numbered sequentially.

Many Bulletins are accompanied by geological maps and, where applicable, the catalogue identifies the scale of the main map.

Bulletins are available through Crown Publications Inc. and its agents.  When ordering Bulletins please quote the stock number indicated. Reports currently in the publication process are identified by “i.p.” (in preparation).

A publication with the letters OP as its stock code is out of print.  Out of print publications are available at various libraries, such as the Ministry Library at 1810 Blanshard Street in Victoria, B.C. The text portions of these publications have been electronically scanned and should be available through Crown Publications Inc.
