Temporary Geoscience Assistant applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and positions most commonly begin in May, September and January.
Applications are added to the pool for temporary Geoscience Assistants based in our Victoria headquarters or Vancouver Mineral Development Office.

The BC Geological Survey hires students and recent graduates for term employment as follows:

Senior and Junior Office Assistants - students and recent graduates in geoscience or related programs preferably with advanced skills in GIS, geomatics, databases, spreadsheets, graphics and web site development programming are sought to provide assistance in the preparation of geological maps for publication, poster displays and other duties related to geoscience databases. (4 to 7 month positions)
