The MapPlace - Google EarthTM Data

MapPlace Home

Details: These links can be added to Google Earth to view BC data with URL links to more details. This service requires downloading of the Google Earth client, available at: earth.google.com.  Click the image or .kmz file link and Open with Google Earth.  The links can also be Saved as a file and opened or dropped into Google Earth.

Hints: Too much tilt may reduce data visibility.  Keep active layers to a minimum.  If it takes awhile to see the image, zooming closer helps. If your laptop freezes, the video card may not be supported; go to Tools, Options and try Graphics Mode DirectX. Opacity of raster images can be adjusted. Google Earth requires a relatively fast Internet connection and computer.
