Geoscience BC Report 2009-2 is a two-year reconnaissance-scale stream and glacial sediment sampling project was implemented by the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC) in 2005 with the objective of evaluating the potential for diamond-bearing kimberlite, gold, base metal and other economic commodities in northeast British Columbia. The first year of the project involved reconnaissance-scale sampling of stream and glacial sediments. In the second and final year of the project, additional sediment samples were collected along three east-west transects located between Fort St. John and Fort Nelson.
