The Quesnel Lake (NTS 93A) reconnaissance-scale stream sediment and water survey was completed in 1980 and the resulting field and analytical data were released in 1981. A total of 1286 sediment and 1281 water samples were collected from 1219 sample sites.
As part of the RGS Archive Program, 1241 archived sediment pulps were re-analyzed by epi-thermal INAA and this new data along with original survey results were published in 1999.
Geoscience BC Report 2007-6 reports new lake sediment and water data covering over 16,000 square kilometers of previously un-surveyed ground in central BC, and represents a significant addition to the provincial geochemical database.
Geoscience BC Report 2007-10 is aimed at enhancing the discovery of concealed mineral deposits using the halogen elements, focusing on soil and common vegetation from three target areas: Mount Polley (Imperial Metals Corp); QR (Cross Lake Minerals Ltd.); and 3Ts (Silver Quest Resources Ltd.).
Geoscience BC Report 2008-3 is a digital release that reports on geochemical results from a reanalysis of almost 5,000 archived stream and lake sediment samples collected in the region over 10 years ago.
Geoscience BC Report 2009-14 is an investigation using SiroSOM for the Analysis of QUEST Stream-Sediment and Lake-Sediment Geochemical Data on all NTS sheets for 93 and 94 A, B, C and D.
Geoscience BC Report 2013-17 presents the results of a variety of sample media collected over known porphyry style Cu-Au mineralization in the Woodjam area. This report aims to establish a geochemical strategy to "see through" the extensive basalt cover, using a variety of analytical techniques on the different sample media.
