The McLeod Lake (NTS 93J) reconnaissance-scale stream sediment and water survey was completed in 1985 and the resulting field and analytical data were released in 1986. A total of 1152 sediment and 940 water samples were collected from 1088 sample sites.
BC Geological Survey GeoFile 2006-9 reports new gold and trace metal data from the re-analysis of the McLeod Lake (NTS 93J) map sheet. This digital release consists of a report in PDF format, and appendices in a ZIP format file.
Geoscience BC Report 2008-5 is part of the QUEST project, which was funded by Geoscience BC in partnership with the Northern Development Initiative Trust, and covers a 46,000 square kilometre area extending from Williams Lake to north west of Mackenzie. This digital release includes results of the 2007 in-fill lake sediment and water survey as well as original data and new inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICPMS) results from a 1995 survey previously conducted in the adjacent Stuart Lake area.
Geoscience BC Report 2009-11 is part of the QUEST-West project, which covers over 40,000 kilometers from Vanderhoof and Fort St. James to Terrace and Kitimat. Geoscience BC in partnership with the Northern Development Initiative Trust and the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako funded an infill drainage sediment and water survey in 2008 conducted in central British Columbia. This digital release includes results of the 2008 infill survey and parts of this package incorporate data from a number of previous lake and stream based surveys completed in the study area as well as the new reanalysis data that were released in January 2009 as part of the QUEST-West Project.
Geoscience BC Report 2009-14 is an investigation using SiroSOM for the Analysis of QUEST Stream-Sediment and Lake-Sediment Geochemical Data on all NTS sheets for 93 and 94 A, B, C and D.
Geoscience BC Report 2013-6 presents INAA results for stream sediment samples collected during the original 1985 McLeod Lake RGS program. The McLeod Lake regional geochemical survey was conducted in 1985 (near Prince George) and included the collection of 1152 stream sediment samples.
Geoscience BC Report 2013-8 map shows ice flow patterns for NTS 093G, H (west) and J, and detailed ice flow history for parts of NTS 093J (near Prince George, BC). The report also contains a regional ice flow model for the northern Interior Plateau region. Constructed from previous mapping and recent field studies, the report is intended as an aid to mineral exploration in central BC. The report consists of one PDF sheet, and the ESRI ArcGIS shapefiles of striations, regional ice flow and detailed ice flow data. |
