The Bute Inlet (NTS 92K) reconnaissance-scale stream sediment and water survey was completed in 1988 and the resulting field and analytical data were released in 1989. A total of 1285 sediment and 1264 water samples were collected from 1214 sample sites. Moss-mat sediment and stream water samples were collected from 281 sites on Vancouver Island. Stream sediment and water samples were collected from 933 sites on the mainland. |

The 1988 stream sediment and water survey was conducted by the British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources (MEMPR). Funding was supplied in part by the Canada-British Columbia Mineral Development Agreement (1985 - 1990).
